Institute of Socio-Cultural Management (ISCM) is a non-political, unreligious, non-commercial and non-governmental civic organization. Began its activity in 2000 and it was officially registered in 2001.
Mission of ISCM is assistance to democratic transformation in Ukrainian society by support of development of local societies, independent informational space and processes of integration at local level.
Basic directions of ISCM’s activity are:
- community development and transformation of cultural institutions into the Centers of local activity
- development of democratic processes
- assistance of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine
Main forms of work – conduction of educational events (seminars, trainings, conferences), work out of training manuals and text books, researches and advocacy campaigns conduction, informing of target audience (thematic Internet pages, bulletins, press-conferences), administrating of grant programs.
ISCM activity was/is supported by: Eurasia Foundation, Human rights Foundation, ISAR „Ednannia”, The International Renaissance Foundation, Committee of voters of Ukraine, Ministry of international question of Ukraine, Ministry of culture of Ukraine, Stephan`s Batoriy Foundation, East Europe Foundation, UNITER, USAID, Pact. Inc., NATO, Ch. S. Mott Foundation, Ministry of ecology and natural sources of Ukraine, charitable donations of citizens and business.
During the 16 years of existence ISCM has successfully realized/realizes 27 social projects. By its activity and projects ISCM covers such main categories of people: civic activists and workers of cultural sphere (received: micro grants, services, improvement of professional skills), state officials (effective models of reporting to society), journalists (trainings on improvement of cooperation with civic activists).
